JACQUEMUS 10-year-anniversary

I'll be honest with you: I had never ever heard about Jacquemus until last week :O

SHOCKING RIGHT? I'm shocked because its 10-year-anniversary fashion show really caused an impression on the fashion world so I guessed this brand must be... important?

If I didn't know the existence of this brand probably many people (maybe you?) out there don't know it either so I decided to google it and this is the basic information I found:

- The founder is a french guy named Simon Porte Jacquemus.

- The brand was a finalist at the LVMH Prize in 2014.

- Celebrities such as Rihanna and Dua Lipa are huge fans of the brand.

This week, the south of France was packed with fashion lovers, celebrities and people from the fashion industry for one reason only: The JACQUEMUS 10 year-anniversary fashion show. The show took place in Provence and it was in a very bucolic location: a lavender field. The landscape was beautiful the only thing that apparently they did for decoration was this one huge magenta catwalk. Meh.

One thing that called my attention was the diversity of models. Gladly there were many more ethnicities other than white represented which is great. About the looks, I don't have much to say. They look simple, comfortable, with fluttering fabrics and lots of colour and in my opinion, they're like a mix of beachwear and urban styles.

I will definitely keep an eye on Jacquemus to understand what is this fuss all about.
